Elderly man dies in Awantipora accident | KNO

Srinagar, Nov 05 (KNO): An elderly man died on Wednesday after being hit by a vehicle at Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the man was hit by a Maruti vehicle while crossing the road at Awantipora, resulting in severe head trauma earlier today. He was initially shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Awantipora and later referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment. He, however, said that the injured, identified as Ghulam Rasool Chopan (70), son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Padgampora Awantipora, succumbed to his injuries later this evening.
